A LITTLE ABOUT JIMMIE SIMPSON PARK & COMMUNITY CENTRE
This 2.6 hectare park just east of Broadview Avenue on Queen Street East features a ball diamond, multipurpose sports field, lit hockey rink, two lit tennis courts, basketball courts and a children’s playground. Adjacent to the park is this Jimmie Simpson Recreation Centre.
Jimmie Simpson Park and Recreation Center is located at 872 Queen Street East, 4 blocks east of the Don Valley.
We’re on Queen Street, so the Queen streetcar or bus is the route, and the Booth Avenue stop is right at the park.
It will be difficult, but there are pay lots in the neighbourhood, and street parking, but please be polite to our neighbours on the surrounding residential streets.
Restrooms are located inside Jimmie Simpson Recreation Center.
